Birth: unknown Death: Mar. 3, 1930 "LORENZO HORNER WAS FOUND DEAD - FOUND DEAD IN CHAIR WHEN HE FAILED TO REPORT FOR DINNER - Lorenzo Horner, a resident of Shelby for many years, was found dead today sitting in a chair at his home just off the south end of Walnut street. When he did not show up for dinner as was his custom someone was sent to his house and he was found dead. The coroner was called after which the body was removed to the Barkdull funeral home to be prepared for burial. Mr. Horner had been failing in health for the past year or two but was able to get out and around. He lived alone but each day came down town for his noonday meal. He was survived by six sons and two daughters, as follows: Boyd, Frank, Ralph, James, Dow, John and Mrs. Helen Steiner and Mrs. Florence Dick, also by one brother W. B. Horner and two sisters Mrs. S. C. Gates and Mrs. F. E. Nelson. The funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow. THE DAILY GLOBE, Shelby, Ohio, Monday, March 3, 1930 "FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral of Lorenzo Horner will be held from the Barkdull funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with interment in Oakland cemetery.
