    Kirk Alan Summers, 23, Lafayette, died at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 11, 1994, in Indiana University Medical Center after an extended illness.

    Mr. Summers grew up in Kirklin and was a member of Kirklin Christian Church. He attended Clinton Central and Frankfort High Schools.

    He was born Jan. 28, 1971, in Clinton County to Mark W. and Linda Laughner Summers.

    Surviving are his father and stepmother, Mark W. and Kay Summers; mother and stepfather, Jesse and Linda Laughner Stockton; paternal grandmother, Mabeth Summers of Frankfort, maternal grandmother Frances Laughner of Forest; maternal step grandmother, Wanda years of Tipton; close friend, Laura Alanzo of Lafayette; a brother, Greg of Jefferson; and two stepsisters, Kathy Burket of Tipton and Tina Lovegrove of Indianapolis.
