    Kinzey Veatch, (above) eldest son of Nathan Veatch and Elizabeth Craig, married Sept. 17, 1805, in Tennessee, Nancy Parsons.

    They lived near his father and remained in Tennessee after he and his family had removed to Harrison County, Ind., until 1815, when they also moved to the same place.

    Later, Kinzey and his family removed to Illinois.

    He was a flaming evangelist of the Lorenzo Dow order, a stern John the Baptist, calling men to repentance and forth-speaking the judgements of Almighty God. He was a well-known frontiersman of the rude borders of Illinois. ...
