    Dispatch from the Lexington, IN to the Cincinnati, Enquirer - Kinder Furgerson died Wednesday at his daughter Mrs. Gobin in Scott Co., IN. Born 23 Aug 1771 Montgomery Co., VA. Married in 1792 moved to Woodford County (State unknown) 1794 moved to Shelby Co., KY. First child Nancy. In 1825 moved to (now called) Otter Village, Ripley Co., IN for a year or so. Then moved to Scott Co., IN near Holman Station where he lived for 53 years. 1857 built a flour mill at Lexington for a Mr. Robbins and for 10 years ran it for Mr. Robbins. Kinder Furgerson and his wife were the parents of 14 children. Eldest Nancy Priest of Sauk Co., Wisconsin 87 yrs old. Their youngest child died at 7 yrs old, if alive would have been 48 yrs old. Oldest son Andrew Furgerson now 84 yrs old lives near. Another son Richard 78 yrs old lives near here. A daughter Margaret Richmond 66 yrs old lives near Bedford, KY. Five of Kinder's children died in childhood. Kinder's wife died in 1869 near the age of 95 yrs old. Their marriage lasted 72 yrs, 1 month, 4 days. Kinder's mother lived to be 107 yrs old. Kinder served in the War of 1812. He had a War of 1812 Pension. He had a house fire all content destroyed. Occupation mechanic, mill worker, shoe maker, wagon maker, basket maker. Never belonged to a church till he was 70 yrs old when he joined the Methodist Episcopal Church.
