Kenneth P. Looker, 80, of Beloit, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999 in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. He was born Nov. 23, 1918, in the town of Forest, near Viola, Wis., the son of Roscoe and Elsie Potter Looker. He lived 73 years in Beloit, coming here in 1925. He married Lorraine Rosenow in Beloit, March 1, 1942. She died March 16, 1982. He married Miriam Ford Jan. 1, 1983 in First Baptist Church, Beloit.
He was employed as a foreman at Fairbanks Morse Co. for 27 years and then as a supervisor for Zenith Cutter Co. in Rockford for 17 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Beloit.
Survivors include his wife, Miriam Ford Looker; one son, Barry (Diana) Looker of Beloit; one daughter, Sandra (David) Schmieder of Stone Montain, Ga.; four step children, Bruce (Ann) Firlus of Rockton, Kevin (Sonja) Ford of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Floria (Stuart) Altenhaus of Centerville, Va.; Mary Ruth (Todd) Avery of Vietnam; five grandchildren, Brian Looker of Beloit, Brigette (Abe) Almizyed of Little Chute, Wis.; Sheri Schmieder of New York City, N.Y., Tiffany Schmieder of Stone Mountain, Ga., Amanda Schmieder of Charleston, S.C.; 10 step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one brother, Keith (Evelyn) Looker of Beloit; two nieces, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999 at the First Baptist Church, 617 Public Ave., Beloit, with the Rev. Gene Van Galder officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Hansen Funeral Home, 424 Prospect St., Beloit, Wis. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of First Baptist Church.
