Kay Gladson Obituary
Kay (Dempsey) Gladson, 80, formerly of Emerickville, PA, died peacefully near her home in Fullerton, CA Sept. 23, 2024.
She was a daughter of Alfred and Veda Dempsey. She was married Sept. 8, 1984, to Donald Gladson, who preceded her in death July 14, 2013.
Surviving are daughters, Adrienne Gladson, Andrea Gladson and Reza Kavianian of CA; grandchildren, Catherine Kavianian (Reese) Kimball, Elizabeth and Brent Kavianian; great-grandchild, Oliver Kimball; sisters, Gail Lathrop of Emerickville, Zola (Jack) Reed of Altoona, PA; six nephews and four nieces of PA.
Kay was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Dempsey, a niece, Pamela Reed Amrhein, and brother-in-law Harold Lathrop.
Kay graduated from Bethesda School of Nursing Cincinnati, Ohio, moved to CA in 1971. She continued her career in nursing, then became a real estate agent before retiring in 2003.
Kay was caring and loving to family and friends. She loved doing crossword puzzles and was a wonderful cook. She so enjoyed having everyone at her home for dinners and celebrations. Visiting Kay and Don in CA, you were always treated, not as a guest, but valued and cared for as family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date by her daughters and family in CA.
