- ↑ KATHLEEN B. REES BREWER - Kathleen B. Rees, 85, wife of the late George R. Rees, died Aug. 29, 1999, at a Brewer health care center. She was born in St. Stephen, N.B., July 20, 1914, the daughter of Arthur and Claire (Maher) Bennett. Kathleen loved animals, especially dogs, which she owned most of her life. She is survived by cousins, Betty Tammaro and her husband, Vincent of Woodland, Margaret DelMonaco and her husband, Edmond of Calais, Mary Biddescomb and her husband, Joseph of Fredericton, N.B., James Maher and his wife, Irva of Florida, Harmon Connors and his wife, Marilyn of Lynn, Mass. She will be remembered by a special friend, Louise Cross of Brewer. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, immediately after visitation, with the Rev. Larry Pawson, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer, officiating.
