Katherine Walsh was born 1 Aug. 1891 in the village of Foynes, Ireland, to Edmund (or Edward) Walsh and Elizabeth Shanahan. She immigrated to the United States at some point, settling in the Detroit area of Michigan. Katherine married Peter Pigott on June 26, 1918. They had six children: Catherine, James, Leo, Mary, Theresa, and William. Katherine died March 5, 1991, in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.
