As Katharine Bartelet, widow, she was listed on the 1524 subsidy roll for Amersham, assessed for £8. Katherine Bartlett left a will dated 24 March 1524/25, proved 16 May 1525. … She requested burial in the churchyard of Amersham, near the grave of her late husband, and specified that her house and lands in Amersham were to descend to her son-in-law John Merwin and his heirs.
