Facts and Events
 Katherine is commonly identified as the daughter of John Rutherford and Isabella Alleine. This identification is primarily based on the work of Source:White, 1902, drawing on the so-called Joel Walker Record, and the work of the Rev. McPheeters. Both works were privately circulated in manuscript form. The Joel Walker Record is no longer extant (as far as we have been able to determine). The work of the Rev. McPheeters is still available, but internal evidence within that document makes it unreliable. There is currently no solid evidence to identify Katherine parents, or a connection to a) the Rev. Joseph Alleine, and b) the Rev. Samuel Rutherford.
