In DeRuyter, Madison Co., N. Y., April 29th, 1878, of paralysis, Mrs. Catherine Muncy, wife of Adonijah Muncy, aged about 78 years. Although the deceased did obtain a hope in Jesus at the early age of twelve years, she did not make a public profession until 1855, when she was baptized by Eld. J. R. Irish, and united with the Seventh-day Baptist Church of DeRuyter, of which she remained a worthy member until death. She leaves a husband, with whom, in married life, she lived fifty-six years and twelve days, and a large circle of children, relatives, and friends to mourn an irreparable loss, but they are comforted with the precious hope, that their loss his her eternal gain.
