"Erma A Slocum married W. H. Byers in the year 1768 and was of the Jonathan Slocum family, father of Frances. Possibly a sister. I believe a daughter. Catherine Biers (Byers me) married George Beard in the year 1805. She was our grandfather's Jacob Beard, mother and surely was a first cousin to Frances Slocum."
