Facts and Events
KASPER is the earliest known ancestor in this family, which first settled in the USA, in the Woodville, Ohio area. Some (in 2020) still live in the Woodville, Ohio area. A branch, headed by Rev. J. F. Gerkensmeyer, lived in Ohio, then moved to Indiana. Most now live in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. In circa 1905, the name of the village of Essen, was changed to Bad Essen, probably because of a name conflict. In this instance, "BAD" means "Bath". --White Creek 05:23, 15 July 2020 (UTC) References
