Karen A Gerwin Jan. 25, 1947 -- April 9, 2003

Karen A Gerwin, 56, of Sandusky CO Rd 128, Fremont, died Wednesday at hom e.

She was born in Bucyrus to Richard and Mona (McHugh) Karr and they surviv e. She graduated from Attica High School in 1965 and then graduated from T iffin Hair Academy. On May 4, 1968, she married Ronald C Gerwin in Atti ca at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. He died May 22, 2002.

Mrs. Gerwin was an active volunteer for the senior centers at Fort Stephen son and Bethesda Care Center. She also was involved in the Bide-A-Wee Fa rm Club and Serendipity Bible Study.

She worked as a beautician, having owned her own salon, "United Hairlines ," for several years until her illness in 1991.

Surviving are her children Monica (R.J) Willey and Damian C (Rachel) Gerwi n, all of Fremont, grandson Zachary J Willey of Fremont; and sister Yvon ne Fowler of Kingman, Ariz.

Visitation: Begins at Noon Saturday, Nopper-Karlovetz Mortuary.

Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Sandusky CO Alzheimer's Association.
