Julius WILHITE [Parents] was born on 25 Apr 1764. He died in 1842. Julius married Margaret HISE on 23 Apr 1787.

I am searching for information about my gg. grandmother Elizabeth Wilhite, born 1839 in prob. Greene Co TN. She was the dau. of Caleb Wilhite and Margaret Odel or Odell. Caleb was son of Julius Willhoit/Wilhite and Margaret Hise and of course Julius was son of Conrad R. Wilhite and Elizabeth Broyles. Elizabeth moved from TN. to Christian Co MO where she married first, Isaiah Atterberry in 1855. Isaiah died shortly after serving in the civil war in 1867. She and Isaiah had three children, Margaret, born 1858 my g. gm., William Washington, born 1860 and Samuel H. born 1862. Elizabeth married second Amos Hodges in Christian Co MO on 13 Feb 1870 and he had three small children with his first wife Mary Langly. This family is found in the census of 1870 in above co. I have copy of pension records Elizabeth applied for in 1887-89 in Christian Co but lost track of her after that.

My gm. Margaret Naomi married first Arthur Casebolt in 1876 in Christian Co MO and div. then married second Ancil Marion Melton of same co. They had three children, Ida, Ben and Bessie, my gm. This Bessie is located in the census of Stone Co MO in 1900 at age nine living with the William Carver Hooton and Elizabeth ? family and listed as step granddaughter. Other children stayed with father and third wife who he married in 1895. My assumption is that her mother Margaret died at her birth or shortly after but find no death record or burial site for her either. So I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this Elizabeth Wilhite, Atterberry, Hodges after 1899? Could she have married this William Carver Hooton? Have looked in vein for death records or burial site of these two women. If anyone can shed any light on this Wilhite family I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Ellen Howell

Margaret HISE was born on 6 Jun 1766. She married Julius WILHITE on 23 Apr 1787.

Her father was Jacob Hise and her mother was Fanny, last name unknown.

They had the following children:
