Julia Toomey/Toomy, who married Abraham McClelland in Roane County, Tennessee is likely a daughter of Michael Toomy of Roane County, Tennessee and a sibling of James Toomy of Roane County, Tennessee who married Jane "Jain" McClellan. It is believed that this same James Toomy provided Bond for the marriage of Abraham McClellan and Juliana Toomy [Tennessee Marriage Records, 180-2002, see image]. Additional research is needed to prove any suspected relationship.

   Julia "Julianna" Toomey was born abt. 1787 [assumed age 18 at marriage], likely in Virginia or North Carolina. She married Judge Abraham McClellan [1776-1851] on 20 August 1805 in Roane County, Tennessee [Tennessee State Marriages, 1780-2002]. The marriage bond was witnessed by a James Toomy, who appears to be a likely sibling of Julianna. Abraham and Julia had three children together: 1) Michael Toomey McClellan (abt. 1803-1883), William R. McClellan (1810-1870) and Mary W. McClellan (abt. 1812-1882). Julia died prior to 15 August 1815 when her husband, Abraham McClellan re-married to Jane Patterson Walker (1791-1824) in Tennessee.
