Julia Robinson HIGGINS Britton was a proud member of the D.A.R. I recall finding her application to the D.A.R. on a microfilm roll back in the 1970's as a boy. She used almost no documentation on her application but substituted "personal knowledge" all the way back to her 2gr grandfather Jabez HINCKLEY who was a Private in the Rev. War. I suspect she would have been more impressed if she had known his gr grandfather Thomas HINCKLEY was the 14th Governor of the Plymouth Colony or that she descends from 6 passengers on the Mayflower which repeat 6 more times in her pedigree. My 8 month old grandson descends from 12 unique Mayflower passengers which repeat 8 more times ..... 20 lineages that come from the 1620 Mayflower passenger list.
