Julia Day Tennant, 83, of Haines City, Fla., died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Haines City Health Center.
She was born July 9, 1919, in Washington, a daughter of James and May Crumrine Day.
Mrs. Tennant was a homemaker and lifelong member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church.
She was a 1936 graduate of Trinity High School and was formerly employed by G.C. Murphy Co.
Mrs. Tennant enjoyed playing board games and card games.
On August 24, 1938, she married Challen Ray Tennant Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, James S. and Larry P. Tennant, both of Washington, and Thomas E. of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Bambi Tennant DeMaske, Mark Tennant, Lisa Tennant White, Michael Tennant and Candace Tennant Derr; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A son, Challen Ray Tennant Jr., is deceased.
TENNANT - Friends of Julia Day Tennant of Haines City, Fla., who died Monday, April 14, 2003, will be received from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., the hour of services, Saturday, April 19, in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, with Mark Tennant officiating.
