Parsons, KS - December 28, 2007 Judy Marie Tullis, 68, of Chetopa, Kansas, died at 10:42 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. She had been in failing health. She was born September 3, 1939, in Columbus, Kansas, to Jesse and Lena (Johnston) Henson. As a young girl, she attended Fairview Country School and was a graduate of Columbus High School. She worked at Johnson's General Store in Chetopa, KS, for 17 years and also the Chetopa State Bank. She and Calvin Brady were married in 1961. They later divorced. She and John Tullis were married in 1989 at the Buckboard Restaurant in Chetopa, Kansas. She and her husband were co-owners and operators of the Buckboard Restaurant in Chetopa for 15 years before selling it in 2001. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chetopa. She loved to travel. Survivors include her husband, John Tullis of the home; five sons, Mike Brady, Welch, OK, Mike Tullis, Derby, KS, Ken Tullis, Welch, OK, Gary Tullis, Welch, OK, and Barry Tullis, Oswego, KS; one daughter, Tina Tullis, Greeley, CO; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; Mother, Lena Holley, Chetopa, KS; two brothers, Ronnie Henson, and Gary Henson, both of rural Miami, OK; one sister, Debbie Clifford, Chetopa, KS. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Brady, in 1985. Funeral Mass is December 31, 2007, at the Mother of God Catholic Church in Oswego, KS. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chetopa, Kansas. |
