Judy K. Perkins

Judy K. Perkins, 45, 109 Mill Pond Road, Elizabethton, died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness.

Ms. Perkins was a native of Carter County and the daughter of Marie Markland Birchfield, Elizabethton.

Ms. Perkins attended Beck Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Timothy James Perkins, Johnson City; a brother and sister-in-law, Kyle D. and Kim Birchfield, Elizabethton; a grandson, Tyler Perkins, Jonesborough; a half sister, Lisa Byers, Johnson City; two nieces, Kaylee Birchfield and Kameron Birchfield, both of Elizabethton; her fiancé, Leon Guy, Butler; two aunts and uncles, Patricia and Jack Morgan, Johnson City, and R.J. and Ruth Markland, Roan Mountain; two step-grandchildren, Cortney Johnson and Carrie Johnson, both of Jonesborough; and a special friend, Jo Ann Webb, Watauga.

PERKINS -- Funeral services for Judy K. Perkins, 45, 109 Mill Pond Road, Elizabethton, who died Thursday, April 25, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Campbell and the Rev. Art Webb officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Moreland Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Morgan, Ronald Markland, Jerry Bowers, Jimmy Hughes, Larry Hughes, Jimmy Hughes II and Michael Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the residence of her mother, Marie Birchfield, 109 Mill Pond Road, Elizabethton, at any time.
