Judith Renaud's father was Etienne or Stephen Renoud and her mother was lady named Magdalene ___? . Etienne's father was Andre Arnaud and his mother was a lady named Marie ____? . The spelling of the name was changed in the early 1700's from Arnaud to Renoud. My banch eventually changed the spelling to Arnow in the early 1800s. Always was pronounced 'ARNO'.French Huguenot family from New Rochelle, New York. I have all of the wills and the 33 years of wirk to back this up. Feel free to email me with any questions. Family from La Tremblade, France, south of La Rochelle . Came here in 1686.

His Will states the following;

"In the name of God Amen the seventh day of July in the year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and Sixty one I Stephen Reno of New Rochel in the Province of New York , Yeoman , being very Sick and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God: Therefore Calling unto Mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the Hands of almighty God that gave it my Body I recommend to the Earth , to be buried in a Decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same Again by the Mighty power of God And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it has pleased God to help me in this life, I give , demiss and Disposes of the same in the following manner and form First I give and Bequeath to my Dearly Beloved Daughters , Magdalan Rylander Judea ( Judith) Bertine and Jane Coutant the one half of my movable Estate to be Equally Devided between them together with Twenty two pounds of Lawful Money of New York to be paid Each of them out of my Real Estate by their Brethren , that is each Daughter twenty two pounds . Also I Give to my well beloved sons Stephen Peter and John Reno whom I likewise Constitute make and Ordain my Exectors of this my Last Will and Testament all the Rest of my whole Estate both Real and Personal to be Equally Divided amongst them , and by them freely to be possessed and enjoyed they paying to their Sisters as above I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and Disannul all and everyother former Testaments Wills Legacies Bequests and Executors by me in any wise before named willed and bequeathed ratyfying and confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written Stephen X ( his mark) Reno on ( L S )
