Facts and Events
This person probably never existed. Wyman's Charlestown supposed that the first wife of James Brown was also a daughter of John Cutting. His second wife Sarah Cutting certainly was his daughter. But see doubts expressed by Walter Goodwin Davis in Abel Lunt Ancestry p 86. Also read the sketch of James Brown in The Great Migration. The records are unclear if James Brown's first wife's name was Elizabeth or Judith - the records are not clear. But as far as her maiden name no clue has been found to support Wyman's claim she was "Judith Cutting." |
