In the absence of strong countervailing evidence and in the absence of any actual birth record, this seems like the most plausible date. NB: no birth record in Sandseryd on-line transcriptions. Original records searched for 1790 on 21 Nov 2004, no record found.

    Email from Rick 11 Feb. 2002: I searched for a Judit born anywhere in Jönköping around 1787 plus or minus one but found none. The only Judit I found was born 17941208 in Ljungarum to Sven Jonasson (Torpare) and Annika Gabrielsdotter living at Torpa Solberga.

    N.B. Two of Judit and Anders's children, Johana Christina 1819 and Albertina Sophia 1820, have witnesses with long hard-to-decipher names appearing to begin with G that might conceivably be Gabrielsdotter, although context makes it seem odd.

  19. ↑ The household examinations in Sandseryd don't seem to have been held every year, and are inconsistently marked. Judith is listed on the page for 1791-1794 but neither she nor any of the other children are marked by year; it seems reasonable to assume them present. The family does not appear in 1795-6. In 1797-9, the family appears, Judith is listed, but she is not marked except for being marked "abs." in 1799. Then she is listed and marked as present in 1800, 1801, 1802, and possibly 1803. No household examinations for 1804-1809, and she is not found with her surviving mother and sister in 1810-1813.
  20. ↑ "Pig. Judit Svensdot." born 1791, came from Sandseryd, check marks under "Uti Bok" (from the book), "Luth Catech." (Lutheran catechism), "Ahr. Symbol.," (year symbol??) and "1 H. ft." under "Svebilli Förklaring" (interpretation). The remaning five levels are not checked.
