Juanita Elaine “Maw Maw” Miller was born September 12, 1941 in Whitney, Pennsylvania to Harry and Margerite (Shopski) Loughner. She graduated from Nuyaka High School. Juanita was a Porter, OK resident for more than fifty years. She was known as “Maw Maw” by everyone, not just family but also by the many students who knew her from her days as a cook at Porter Public Schools.

In her spare time Juanita liked to watch OU (her favorite) and the Pittsburgh Steelers football. Any time one of her grandchildren played ball, she was there, at all the sports events. She liked to crochet and enjoyed reading and collecting bunnies. Her favorite color was purple, and her family was always on the lookout for anything purple or any kind of bunny. She truly loved being with her family, and they enjoyed being with her. In her home she kept all their favorite treats on hand for when they visited.

Juanita departed this life Monday, November 11, 2019 at her home in Porter, OK at the age of 78 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Snooks, Cartha and Bonnie.

Maw Maw will be greatly missed and always loved and remembered by those who knew her. The family recalls Mothers Days spent planting her flower garden every year. Her survivors include three children and their spouses, Charles and Linda Miller of Broken Arrow, OK, Deana and Tracy Jay of Porter, OK and Jimmy Miller and Robert Taylor of Porter, OK; her grandchildren, Chasitie Seaton and Justin, McKenzie Jenkins and Kasey, Wesley Miller, Briar Edwards, Adam Bryant and Kayla, Brian Baucom and Natashia, and Sydney Neufeld and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Max Seaton, Ryder Jenkins, Rhett Jenkins, Kinley Bryant, Riley Keener, Kynzie Thomas, Reata Baucom, Lakota Neufeld and Stetson Neufeld; a number of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
