!CENSUS: 1910 U.S. Federal Census shows Carlota and her family living on Calle Borinquen. She is shown as having been married for 15 years, and having seven children, six living at the time of the census. Her mother and father are shown as having been born in Puerto Rico. She had two servants living with them. The servants names were Amalia Santiago, age 15, and Maderta Hernandez y Ortiz (mulatto), age 12.

Her birth date is shown as 4 November, 1868. Her parents are shown as Jose Calixto Rivera and Juana Bautista Colon. Paternal grand parents are shown as Julian Rivera and Tomasa Colon. Maternal grand parents are shown as Pedro and Juana Colon. God parents are Rufino Colon and Juana Rivera. Also noted is that the birth was legitimate, and that her parents were white, or "blanco".

!CONFLICT: Family records show birth date to be 3 November, 1868, but the baptismal records at the San Blas, Coamo, Catholic Church show the birth date as 4 November, 1868.
