    Joyce M. Babcock, 75, Edgerton, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at the Stoughton Hospital, Stoughton. She was born on July 23, 1935, in Edgerton, daughter of the late Victor and Margaret (Larson) Steindl. She was united in marriage on Jan. 24, 1953, to Robert Babcock in Iowa. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton.
    She enjoyed knitting, traveling, camping, and reading, but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert of Albion; two daughters, Barbara Clark of Edgerton and Brenda (Partner, Lynn Mach) Babcock of Albion; one son, Robert (Candy) Babcock Jr. of Edgerton; five grandchildren: Jason (Jes) Clark, Brandon (Heidi) Clark, Jesi (Chad) Benhart, Travis (Jessica) Babcock and Breonna (Chris) Babcock; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ed Steindl and Wally Steindl, both of Milton; one sister-in-law, Judy Steindl of Edgerton; many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by one son, Daniel; and two brothers, Roger and Kenny.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at Central Lutheran Church, Edgerton, with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Fassett Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the Ehlert Funeral Home, (US Hwy 51. S.), Edgerton, from 4 until 7 p.m., and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Joyce's name.
