    [Note: no birth record found in Stow, though the family lived there and it generally fits other sources. 4 Sep 1746, Josiah, "my youngest son" was deeded land in Harvard by his parents Richard and Hannah Whitney to provide for "his Comfortable Settlement if he shall arrive to man's Estate" (Worcester deed Vol. 26, p. 75) and apparently owning land was able to marry before fully of legal age.]
