    Josiah Stearns, s/o John Stearns and Abigail Fiske, b. 14 Oct 1704, d. 11 Apr 1756, m. (1) 31 Dec 1729 Susanna Ball, m. (2) 1741 Dorothy Prentice, m. (3) Mary Bowman of Cambridge, "b. 14 Aug 1806" [sic, see attached comment.]
[Note: This same identification of the third wife is given in Source:Bond, Henry. Family Memorials. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, Including Waltham and Weston (1855), p. 466, only without the birth date. (The birth date is a typo, Mary Bowman was born on 14 Aug 1706.) This identification is strange because the marriage as recorded in both Watertown and Cambridge names the wife as Mary Bordman.

Source:Paige, Lucius Robinson. History of Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1630-1877, p. 491, says Mary Bordman, d/o Moses, b. 10 Aug 1713, m. Josiah Stearns, and the probate of her father Moses was administered by the son Moses, but on the son's death in 1753, Josiah Stearns was appointed administrator de bonis non and a share of the distribution goes to Mary Stearns [Middlesex Probate 2229], showing that Paige was correct. Meanwhile there is no mention of Mary in the probate of her father Samuel Bowman in 1746 [Middlesex 2370] and one would guess she is the Mary Bowman that d. Lexington 1722.]
