... Josiah Dickson, was a native of Scotland, and was married to Isabell Reed, also of Scotland. They had eleven children, only two of whom are now living – George and Rev. Wm. Dickson. Josiah Dickson moved to Cooper county in 1819, and went to farming there. He died in 1829 [sic], and was buried four miles east of Booneville, he wife surviving him until 1831, and was buried at the same place. ...
