Some sources claim that Josiah Cook married Mary Godfrey, b. 6/2/1672, Eastham, Massachusetts, d. 1/22/1725, daughter of George Godfrey and Hannah ?. This appears to be in error, and there seems to be much more evidence that Mary Godfrey, daughter of George and Hannah married Joseph Doane.
