Ancestry of Sarah Johnson, 1775-1824, Wife of Joseph Neal of Litchfield, Maine, p. 24, gives his birth as "July 15, 169-", but no such record is found in the published Reading VRs, and the basis for this is unknown. Joshua is, however, included in a list of children in probate documents for his father, between Sarah and Caleb, which would put his birth about 1699. Whether it was 15 Jul 1698 or 15 Jul 1699 is not discernible without more information..
