2009 June 11 visit to Chelsea Vt court house. Died intestate. Estate administer David Goodwin. Notices were published in Vermont Watchman of Montpelier. Family claimants were Joseph W. Jackman for $184.50, Hollis Jackman for $4.00 and Joshua Jackman for $59.49. Estae assets $1987.81, debts $1603.24 including $400 to widow, net $294.57 remaining for creditors.

Following document was copied: State of Vermont, District of Randolph - At a probate court holden at Chelsea in aforesaid district on the 19th day of Nov. 1844. Present Hon. Levi B. Vilas, Judge. On application of Mary L. Jackman, widow of Joshua W. Jackman, late of Chelsea in said district deceased there was set apart out of the personal Estate of said deceased & assigned to the widow so much thereof to be by her selected from the inventory of the prices therein named as will amount to the sum of three hundred dollars to be held by her the said Mary L. Jackman her heirs & assigns forever.
