In the February 1864 edition of The Commercial Press of Pultneyville, NY it states, "Benjamin Burden has sold his farm to Joshua Granger - considerattion $800. He had his auction Jan. 20th." In the April 1864 edition of The Commercial Press of Pultneyville, NY it states, "Joshua Granger has sold the farm he bought of Benj. Burden, to Jno Overslaw; and moves to this village about the first of April." In the August 1865 edition of The Commercial Press of Pultneyville, NY it states, "Joshua Granger of this place is engaged in hauling oil from Pit Hole City, Pa., to Titusville, Pa." In the April 1867 edition of The Commercial Press of Pultneyville, NY it states, "Joshua Granger has purchased Wing O'Bryan's farm, formerly owned by John Albright, situated three quarters of a mile west of this village, consisting of seventy acres - consideration $4 200. Mr. O'Bryan sold his personal property March 18th." In a Williamson Directory of 1867-1868, Joshua is listed as a farmer. References
