Information on Joshua Cresson

Joshua Cresson, Jr. and Catherine Brouwder (D-12-1). They had the following children:

1. Joshua Cresson, III 1711 - 1790

2. John Cresson 1714 -

3. *Abraham Cresson 1717 -

4. Aletie Cresson 1720 -

They lived in NJ until about 1720. The 1724 tithable list for King William Parish in VA included Joshua Coroson.15 It has been difficult to trace the Cresson family because of various spellings such as Creason, Corsson, Coroson, Greason, Crushon, Cushon, Crisman, and Krewson.15

Son John is later found in Augusta Co, VA, as is Abraham on 2/26/1746. However, children Joshua and Aletie married in Somerset Co, NJ.
