... Henry Bantz, who was born near Albany, Delaware County, Indiana October 3, 1836, and who is a son of Joshua and Betsy Brenner Bantz. The former was a native of Baltimore Maryland where he lived until he was twelve years of age when he was taken to Preble County, Ohio, and was there married to Betsy Brenner who was a native of Ohio. Soon after their marriage they settled in Delaware County, Indiana, where Mr. Bantz entered land upon which he lived until late in life when he removed to Muncie, Indiana, and there died at the age of seventy-four. Mr. Bantz was one of the sturdy pioneers of Delaware county, uncommonly strong and unusually hardworking man. His frame was very large and being inured to labor he accomplished much more than the ordinary pioneer and his character was as strong and sound as his physical frame. ...
