Joseph Boston Uncapher

Joseph Boston "Joe" Uncapher, 75, of New Florence, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 in Greensburg, where he was recently residing. Born Feb. 23, 1935 in Grapeville, he was the son of the late Eugene and Ida Mae Uncapher.
Joe served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was retired as an iron worker. He was a member of Charles Sutton, American Legion Post 128, Bolivar, where he had served as a past commander for three years; VFW Post 33, Greensburg; and Eagles Lodge, Blairsville.
He is survived by one son, Harry and significant other Margriet Van Es Uncapher, New Florence; brothers, Elvajean Keller and Eugene Uncapher; long-time companion, Charlotte Close; a cousin, Cathy Uncapher; and nephews, Dennis and Doug Keller.
Friends were received at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where a funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. with Rev. John Hodge officiating and military rites by local veterans organizations.
Interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park with military honors from VFW Post 33 honor guard at cemetery chapel.
