Born in Gowrie Rd, Toowoomba Joe TWIDALE died on the 2nd September 1939 in the Toowoomba hospital of cancer and is buried beside Rachel who died 22nd May 1948 at Toowoomba. Joe was a Timbergetter when he died in 1939. He was registered at his birth as CHARLES JOSEPH but signed himself as JOSEPH CHARLES on his marriage certificate and was always known as Joe. He grew up in the Toowoomba, Milmerran and Leyburn districts.
