    Joseph Trumbull, eldeft furviving fon of John and Elizabeth (Winchell) Trumbull, born at Suffield, May 13, 1708. In January, 1743, his father deeds to him two parcels of land, "For the confideration and affection that I bear my beloved fon Jofeph," and in May of the fame year his whole homeftead, only referving to himfelf twenty-two acres, for a confideration of £500, and other deeds in 1746-47 show other grants of lands in Suffield. He married Obedience Belden, who, furviving him, remarried, 1764,to James Sheppard, of Hartford, and died 1804. He died June __, 1761.
