- 1730 Came to America from Ireland
- Purchased land in the Village of Brick Meeting House, later Calvert Post Office
- Sent for his parents to come to this country but they were lost at sea
- Worked for Rev. Brown, a Quaker minister of Nottingham Township, Chester Co. PA.
