I, Joseph L Stivers of Pleasureville, Henry County Kentucky being of sound mind & disposing memory realizing the certainty of human life & the absolute certainty of Death and being desirous of saying in what way to whom what property I may have at my death shall be disposed do make & publish this paper as my last Will & Testament, hereby revoking any heretofore made by me.
First I want all my just debts funeral expenses paid by Executors hereinafter named and soon after my death as may be found convenient.
Second I hereby nominate & appoint my son Luther Stivers & my son in law K.D Black Executors and request that they be allowed to qualify without giving Security.
Third I hereby will: Bequeath after my debts & Funeral Expenses are paid to my wife Ann Mary Stivers all the balance of my Estate Real and Personal wherever situated of every kind & description for & during her natural life and at her death the balance whatever of it is left to go in equal portions to our children "to wit: Nannie Bell Black, O.T. Stivers, Mary Ellen Wainscott, J.C. Stivers, Luther Stivers, V.J. Stivers & Dallas Stivers.
Fourth I hereby give bequeath to my wife Ann Mary Stivers full power authority to negotiate Sale make Sale Execute Deeds to any Real Estate we have at date of my death at any time She wishes to sell without the Intervention of Court or heirs & if Should sel1 any or all our real estate She is to have the use control of the money as long as she lives. She is not to be restricted to the Interest on the money But is to have a comfortable living support out of the Proceeds of Property or money during life and at her death the remainder or what is left is to be Equally divided between our children.
I request my Executors to erect a suitable memorial Tablet or monument at a cost not less them Two Hundred Dollars on my lot in the Cemetery at Defoе.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this my will in the presence of the two subscribing witness who signed their names hereto at my request & in my presence, this 27th. day of March 1922.

The foregoing instrument of to be the Last Will and Testament writing purporting of Joseph L. Stivers, deceased, was this day produced in open Court and offered for probate and duly proven by the oaths of the two attesting witnesses Wm. Sparks and James Stivers thereto-both being present stating that the Said Testator, Joseph L. Stivers, signed the foregoing instrument of writing in the presence of each of them and that they each signed it in his presence and in the presence of each other, at his request, as attesting witnesses thereto;
Whereupon, the same is adjudged and declared by the court to be the last Will and Testament of Joseph L. Stivers, deceased, and ordered to be recorded as such, which is now done accordingly.
