Joseph was reported missing in action on 12 Jan 1943 near Gabes, Tunisia. Enlisted 27 Nov1 940 (before WW II commenced), commissioned 2nd LT. 11 Jul 1941 (still pre-war): logically a career Army officer. Recipient of Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross. His military record should be very interesting to research as he was obviously a WW II Army Air Force hero.
