Joseph L. Smail, 75, died Friday, July 20, 1945 at his home at R 1 Kelly Station, Pa.
Mr. Smail, a son of Joseph and Sarah Ashbaugh Smail, was born November 27, 1869 in Bethel Township, Armstrong County.
The survivors include his wife and the following children:

Mr. Smail was a memver of the Church of God, Distant. Funeral services were held there Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the pastor, the Reverend James F. Schaeffer, officiating.
Interment was made in the Oakland Cemetery under the direction of W. C. Vorous
