Joseph Scothorn was born about 1728, in Upper Darby Township, Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, his father, Samuel Scothorn, was 25 and his mother, Ann Davis, was 34. He had at least 2 sons and 3 daughters with Elizabeth Brown. He died on 26 September 1816, at the age of 88.
