Rice who lives with his father at the home place, was born in Saline county, January 17, 1847; was raised and educated on the farm he now lives on, the best of his education having been received in war times. In October, 1877, he was married to Miss Fannie Nunn, no children. Mr. Rice has a small but well improved place. He is quite a young man, and has a promising future before him.
