Jan. 13, 1740-1, Nathaniel Dewey conveys to Sarah, relict of Joseph Phelps, and Joseph Phelps, son of Joseph deceased, 13 acres of land. The widow Sarah, and son Joseph, at this time appear to be the executors of the husband and father's estate, Mr. Phelps died in Lebanon in the spring of 1735. His will, dated March 15, 1735, probated June 25, 1735. Personal inventory £661. 5s, 2d. After caring for the widow, he gives to his son Joseph his farm in Lebanon, to his son Aaron his farm partly in Lebanon and partly in Hebron, to his son Moses his farm in Windham, to his son David his farm in Tolland, to daughter Sarah £10, besides what she has had already, to be paid by Joseph, to Eunice £100 to be paid by Joseph, to Hannah and Submit each £100 to be paid b Joseph, to David and Nathaniel each £50 to be paid by Aaron when they attain their majority, also refers to Miriam, Keziah and Nancy or Mary."
