Mulvaney (D), unopposed [edit] ===================================Syracuse Post-Standard, 16 Jan 2009: MULVANEY Joseph P. Mulvaney, 82, of Florence, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Stonehedge Nursing Home, Rome, NY. He was born December 22, 1926, in Florence, NY, a son of Francis and Clara Mulvaney, and was a graduate of Utica Catholic High School. Joe had served with the U.S. Marine Corps and upon discharge joined the N.Y.S. Troopers; he later served as a part-time police officer with the village of Camden, security officer for the Annsville Youth Camp and justice of the peace for the town of Florence. Joe drove school bus for the Camden Central Schools for many years and had retired in the early 1980s as transportation director for the district. On October 21, 1961, he married the former Marion Furney at St. Mary's Church, Florence, NY. She passed away July 9, 2002. Joe was a member of the LZ Old Corps, Detachment 999, Camden, NY, and previously attended St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Surviving are a sister, Lenore Linsey, New Hartford, NY; two half brothers, William and Joanne Gaffey, Camden, and David and Mary Gaffey, Altmar; three half sisters, Ruth Gaffey, Utica, Irene King, Ledyard, CT, and Imogene Finnerty, Williamstown; a stepdaughter, Barbara and Edward Mulvaney, Camden; a stepson, Terry and Barbara Burdick, Williamstown; five stepgrandchildren... A funeral Mass will be held ... Monday from St. John's Church, under the direction of LaRobardiere Funeral Home, Inc. Spring interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown, NY. References
