    Page 257: Joseph Lyon, s/o Richard, was born in Fairfield, Conn., about 1673, and died in that place March 16, 1698. In the History of Fairfield he is said to have settled at Pequonnock, (Greenfield). In 1695, according to Fairfield Co., Probate record, Joseph Lyon, husband of Mary Jackson, daughter of Joseph Jackson, acknowledges the receipt of his wife's legacy from his father-in-law, Joseph Seely, who married the administratrix of said Jackson's estate. His widow married John Bayley before Nov. 1700..."
