MARRIAGE: RESIDENCE: FAMILY: Joseph & Phoebe lived on the Laing homestead between the Quaker meeting-house and Johnsonburg. Four children: Watson, b. 8 mo 11 1834, d. 9 mo 27 1863, buried at the Yellow Frame but afterwards removed to Tranquillity; Anna, d. at Stroudsburg, PA when a young lady; Emma; Olivia, mar. Edward Morgan of Cheshire, Conn., no children. "The homestead of Samuel & Edith Laing was about 1 1/2 miles from Johnsonburg on the left hand side of the road leading to Alamuche.
