22 Jun 1771 Thomas Jessop and Ann his wife of the County of Guilford and Province of North Carolina to Joseph Jessop his son of the same place for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds in hand paid doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Joseph Jessop on Certain Tract of Land situate and lying in the county afs'd Whereon the s'd Joseph Jessop now lives Containing 246 acres which he the said Thomas Jessop purchased from Samuel Hargrave.
