Boswell, Chief Deputy Clerk of the Superior Court of Greene County, Georgia, do hereby certify that the within is a true and exact copy of the original record in the office of the Clerk of Said County and is true as to spelling, punctuation and syntax. Know all men by these presents that I Joseph Hubbard of the County of Greene & State of Georgia am held and firmly bound unto Sam'l Hubbard & Davis Hubbard both my sons & being of the County & State aforesaid in the just sum of five hundred dollars to which payment will truly be made I bind myself my Heirs & assigns this 3rd day of February 1798.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Joseph Hubbard do give Sam'l Hubbard & Davis Hubbard his sons, free & peaceable possession of a certain hundred acres of land & buildings assigned wherein he now lives The whole tract to be to these and no other as long as the said Joseph Hubbard lives there the above obligation to be void and of none effect otherwise to remain in full force & virtue signed & sealed the day & date above written.

This Indenture made this eighth day of December one thousand eight hundred & three Between Joseph Hubbard & Samuel Hubbard both of the State & County aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Joseph Hubbard for & in consideration of the sum of two hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Hubbard the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained & sold & by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said Samuel Hubbard his heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land lying & being in the State & County aforesaid an the Beaverdam Waters of Richland Creek & containing by estimation one hundred acres be the same more or less having such shape as follows, beginning of the Water Oak Station made on the line in the Original grant adjoining Thomas Houghton’s land on a Branch that John Reed built his Cabin on then up said Branch to the head to a Gum station from thence a Straight line to a Gum Station made on the head of Another branch thence down said to a posimon Tree Station that is called for in the original Grant which said line was made as a dividing line for part of said Tract sold Samuel Parker thence South along said line to a pine tree corner called for in the original Grant from thence along said line to a pine tree corner called for in said Grant adjoining Haughton’s land & from sd pine Corner the course of sd plat & Grant to said Water Oak the sd beginning which was granted to Wm Smith with all & singular the rights & titles & appertenances To have and to hold the said tract of land & premises with the appertenances To have & to hold the said tract of land & premises with the appertenances to the said Samuel Hubbard & his heirs & assigns me & my heirs will warrant & forever defend from all manner of claim or title whatsoever to the only benefit & behoof of him the said Samuel Hubbard His heirs & assigns In Testimony whereof he the said Joseph Hubbard hath hereunto set his hand & seal this day & date above Written.

This Indenture made and concluded upon this thirtienth day of January one thousand eight hundred and three Between Joseph Hubbard of the state of Georgia and County of Greene of the one part and B Whatley of the county and State aforesaid Witnesseth that the said Joseph Hubbard for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred Dollars to him well and truly paid by the sd B Whatley at the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted and bargained sold and released and confirmed and by these presents doth Grant bargain sell release and confirm unto him the said B Whatley and his heirs all that tract or parcel of land by estimation containing one hundred acres mor or less being in the county of Greene being on the beaverdam fork of Richland Creek beginning at a white Oak x thence West 31 chains and 50 links to a hicory and thence South 31 chains and 50 links to a stake x thence East 31 chains and 50 links to a pine x thence North 31 chains and 50 links to the begining corner as may fully appear by a platt of the same Together with all and singular the rights members and appertenances thereof whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging or in any wise appertaining as aforesaid and every part and parcel thereof and the remainders reversions rents Issues and profits thereof To have and to hold the said tract of land and all and singular the premises and appertenances thereof as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said B Whatley his heirs and assigns forever and the said Joseph Hubbard his heirs executors administrators and every of them the said tract of land and premises as aforesaid and every part thereof unto the said B Whatley his heirs and assigns against the said Joseph Hubbard his heirs Executors administrators and assigns and every of them and every other persons or person whatsoever shall and well warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof the said Joseph Hubbard hath hereunto set his hand and affix his seal the day and year first above written.
